KKR vs CSK is a clash between two Indian Premier League (IPL) powerhouses. The two franchises will be keen to register two points, and the match will also be a treat for neutral fans. Eden Gardens will host the match on Sunday at 7:30 PM. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have lost their fixture at home this season, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked up two points the last time the franchise played away from home.

Venkatesh Iyer has set the stage on fire in IPL this season. The left-handed batter hit his maiden IPL century and has been instrumental in KKR’s batting department. Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh, too, have excelled for the Knight Riders, who are missing their captain Shreyas Iyer. Meanwhile, West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell, who has claimed a few wickets this season, is yet to hit form with the bat.

The bowling attack would be keen to come up with consistent performances. Pace bowlers haven’t picked enough wickets and gave away plenty of runs in the powerplay. The KKR fans will be pinning their hopes on the spin trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Suyash Sharma, who has taken 19 wickets between them. 

Chennai Super Kings

CSK think-tank will be hoping that Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway will keep their impressive run going. The duo has resumed from where they left off last season. Shivam Dube and Ajinkya Rahane, too, have been excellent, adding valuable runs to the total. Moeen Ali, too, will be keen to contribute with the bat.

Tushar Deshpande has been the player to watch out for in the CSK bowling lineup. The uncapped pacer has stepped up in the absence of Deepak Chahar and Mukesh Choudhary. He has received excellent support from Ravindra Jadeja, who has six wickets at an economy of 7.05. Also, the Sri Lankan duo Maheesh Theekshana and Matheesha Pathirana will want to impress.
