GT vs MI match is one of the most eagerly awaited matches in the IPL 2023 season. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) are fourth in the points table with four wins in their six games. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have won three and lost the same number of games this season. Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will host the match on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.

The Titans’ bowling attack came to the party in their last game against Lucknow Super Giants. Noor Ahmad, who was making his IPL debut, took two big wickets, while Mohit Sharma was brilliant again. Rashid Khan leads GT’s bowling charts with 12 wickets, while Mohammed Shami has ten wickets. 

Though the Titans’ had a tough time in Lucknow, Hardik Pandya led from the front. The former MI player made 66, while Wriddhiman Saha, too, made a valuable contribution. Shubman Gill will likely score runs at Narendra Modi Stadium, where he has scored close to 150 runs this season.

Mumbai Indians

Despite defeat against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Saturday, the MI think-tank will be delighted with the batting unit, which came close to chasing a big target. Cameron Green hit his second half-century, while Suryakumar Yadav made a 26-ball 57. MI skipper Rohit Sharma, too, played a good hand. 

The pace attack was at the receiving end of some fine hitting by PBKS batters in the death overs. The likes of Arjun Tendulkar, Jofra Archer, and Jason Behrendorff leaked more than 40 runs in their four overs. Piyush Chawla is expected to pick up wickets, as the 34-year-old has taken at least one wicket in each of MI’s last five matches.

The Ahmedabad-based franchise has a slight advantage in this match, thanks to their excellent start to the new season. However, MI has been in great form this season and will give a good fight.
