RR vs RCB IPL 2023 Match Preview & Prediction | Match 60

RCB vs RR

RR vs RCB has all the looks of a classic eliminator clash, as a defeat for either of the franchises could be curtains for them. Rajasthan  Royals (RR) have 12 points from as many games, while Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who won only one of their last four games, have ten points from 11 matches.

Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium will host this enticing Indian Premier League (IPL) clash on Sunday at 3:30 PM.

Rajasthan Royals

The biggest concern for the RCB bowling department will be RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has registered 75+ scores in RR’s three of the last five matches. He annihilated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowlers on Thursday, making an unbeaten 98 off just 47 balls. RR skipper has also found form in the crucial juncture of the season, scoring 66* and 48* against Sunrisers Hyderabad and KKR, respectively.

With Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal at their usual best, RR has no fresh concerns in the bowling unit. Chahal went past Dwayne Bravo and is IPL’s leading wicket-taker now. RCB batters must gear up for a stiff challenge against a player they let go in 2021. Also, Sandeep Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin are doing the roles to perfection.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB fans would be hoping that Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell will carry the team on their shoulders yet again. The middle order hasn’t shown any signs of improving, which will be the biggest worry ahead of the crucial fixture. As Trent Boult can pick up wickets in the powerplay, it will be an anxious watch for the RCB faithful.

RCB want their leading wicket-taker, Mohammed Siraj, to find his rhythm again. He went wicketless in RCB’s last two games and is yet to gel with Josh Hazelwood, who has a significant role to play. Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel have been taking wickets but leaking runs. Also, Uncapped Vijaykumar Vyshak is a good pace bowling option.

RR Vs RCB – Head-To-Head

Both teams have met 29 times in IPL, with RCB securing 14 wins, RR 12 victories, and three were no results.

Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis starred for RCB in the previous clash between the two franchises.
