Meanwhile, earlier his catch was also dropped by Khaleel Ahmed. Thanks to his knock, LSG had dominated the first ten overs. Following this, his compatriot Nicholas Pooran(36 off 21) took over and started carting the bowlers out of the park. LSG batters especially targeted young Chetan Sakariya who was hit for 19 runs in an over.

Later Ayush Badoni(18 off 7) also played a cameo and made sure Lucknow posted a target of 193/6.

In reply, Delhi started to lose wickets in a timely fashion. They had not lost anything until Wood arrived and rattled the stumps of Prithvi Shaw in the fifth over. On the very next ball, he saw the back of Mitchell Marsh for a first-ball duck.

The England pacer then beat Sarfaraz Khan for pace as he became his third wicket of the night. The Capitals had lost the battle in the powerplay itself after being reduced to 48/3. Warner (56 off 48) hung on and tried to resist, but the pitch was getting slow and low. Meanwhile, the run rate shot up and the pressure got to Delhi batters.
