SRH desperately needs two points after losing three in a row. The batting unit let them down against DC last week. The IPL 2016 champions failed to chase down 145 at home. Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma, Harry Brook, and Rahul Tripathi failed to deliver. Opening batter Mayank Agarwal top-scored with 49, while there were good contributions from Heinrich Klaasen and Washington Sundar, who picked up a three-wicket haul earlier in the match.  

The bowling unit produced an improved performance. Bhuvneshwar Kumar led from the front, taking the wicket of Phil Salt in the powerplay and breaking a 69-run partnership between Manish Pandey and Axar Patel. Washington Sundar, too, found his rhythm. The young spinner smothered the DC middle order.
